January Coastal Outreach
Updated: Jan 3, 2020
Last week, 13th-20th of February, I took an outreach team to Bundaberg and Hervey Bay with the intent of picking up the remaining holiday crowd on the Coast. We held a total of 5 organised night meetings which produced good fruit many healings and salvations – Glory to God.
Bundaberg saw the birth of a strong partnership with the Restoration Centre (church). This partnership proved success during both street outreach and night meetings. It was such a privilege to share in the harvest with them. I want to honour, Tim Lunnon, leader of The Restoration Centre for his humility and warmth in hosting us. My friend, Evangelist Josh Hanley, his wife, Paiganne, and my new friend John Kelly were instrumental in our
evangelistic efforts last week. Josh has one of the smoothest outreach approaches I’ve seen, his connection to the youth in Bundaberg is strong, he is seeing many saved and discipled.
God is moving powerfully on the streets in Bundaberg amongst the broken and outcast. The combined partnership saw 13 people make decisions for Christ during the outreaches and night meetings. I can see the Holy Spirit moving upon, particularly the marginalised, fatherless youth. Please pray for Bundaberg, the need can be overwhelming. As you know, every day we are starring at someone who needs Jesus but take heart, He has overcome the world! We have permission, a commission, and the power of the abiding Holy Spirit to reach out our hand and love someone. Pray for strong discipleship to take place and the raising up of those to do the work in this town.
We headed south for the remainder of the week, ministering in Hervey Bay. Thursday night after worship, we saw God move powerfully through an impromptu street outreach in a beachfront carpark. Many lives where touched powerfully, a number receiving the Lord Jesus as saviour and King. After prayer walking the shops during the mornings which saw a number of healings and salvations, we held two formal outreach meetings during Friday and Saturday night. I am thankful for the way God is moving through our meetings, drawing people to himself. Please pray for these meetings that God may continue to draw the lost into the fold – we need to see more.
